Screws and Fasteners
The manufacturers of screws and fasteners have announced a price increase effective on September 2, 2008.
- All brands of drywall screws - 10%
- Decking screws - 10-15%
- Acoustical fasteners - 8-12%
- Collated screws - 10%
Fiberock® Brand Sheathing
The manufacturer of Fiberock® Brand Sheathing, AR, VHI adn AquaTough Interior Panels has announced a price increast of 5% on all these products. This increase will be effective on September 15, 2008, on all shipments and pickups of these products.
Gypsum Board
The manufacturers of gypsum board have annunced a price increase of 12% on all gypsum board products. This increase will be effective on September 22, 2008, on all shipments and pickups of gypsum board products.
They are also anticipating a 10% increase for October 13, 2008 to offset the escalating costs associated with increases in raw materials and energy.
CertainTeed Ceilings
Earlier this month, CertainTeed announce a $300 per truck fuel surcharge. The feedback they received from many was that this fuel surcharge was difficult to process when determining the full cost of the product.
To alleviate this administrative issue, and due to continued rise in raw material, CertainTeed has announced the following price increases. The fuel surcharge will be eliminated.
Effective September 22, 2008, CertainTeed Ceilings will increase the price on all commercial and retail ceiling tiles as follows:
- Performance Products - 7%
- Ecophon Gedina ceiling tile - 6%
- All other Ecophon ceiling tile - 13%
